Sie bekommen bei mir hauptsächlich Weide und Nussbaum für den Nestbau. Das Schwierige ist die Luftfeuchtigkeit; trotz durchgehend mindestens 70 % sind die Küken nicht ausgekommen.

Das Wichtigste: Ruhe! Hab mir deshalb im benachbarten Gästezimmer einen zuchtschrank mit großen Boxen eingerichtet.
Ich füttere mittlerweile 2 mal,wöchentlich unterdosiert Korvimin, dann fang ich an mit Keimfutter und Eifutter im Wechsel. Sobald das erste Küken da ist, gibt's Eifutter 2 mal täglich, wobei ich das Eifutter grundsätzlich mit Wasser anrühre. Das fördert die Fütterung der Nestlinge. Und dann Berge von Zweigen, damit die Eltern genug zum knabbern haben - und nicht an die Babys gehen...
Ob die Zweige nur Beschäftigung sind oder wichtige Stoffe enthalten, weiß ich ehrlich gesagt nicht. Oder vielleicht sogar beides?
Es KANN natürlich auch passieren, dass dadurch die nächste Brut gefördert wird- und das wiederum würde bedeuten, dass die Eltern die Nestlinge nicht weiter füttern, sondern womöglich rausschmeißen aus dem Nest.
Ich beobachte sehr viel, gebe dann halt immer nur sparsam Zweige. Und: nicht zuviel Futter, dann kann es sein, dass sie das Gelege aufgeben und ein neues legen!
Während der 3. (und dann erfolgreichen) Brut hab ich im Übrigen beobachtet, dass die Henne kurz rauskommt, im Sturzflug in die Badeschale saust, und sich sofort klatschnass wieder auf die Eier hockt. Scheinbar wissen sie selbst, dass mehr Feuchtigkeit erforderlich ist?
Gemüse und gerade Salat könne bei Nestlingen für Verdauungsstörungen verantwortlich sein, Agas sind ja eigentlich Körnerfresser. Wenn die jungen dann irgendwann selbst fressen, und entsprechende Bewegung haben, ist das natürlich etwas anderes.
